1. Meeting was called to order at 9:40 a.m. by President Jerry Birdwell

2. Introductions of Members

3. Ken Daley made a presentation to the membership regarding the Consolidated Transit System

4. Blaise Carrig of Heavenly Ski Resort made a presentation to the membership regarding the current status at Heavenly as well as Vail’s plans for the future.

5. Don Sheetz representing the Lake Tahoe Marathon let the membership know what to expect at this year’s event.

6. Jim Foff – Past-President of the Lodging Board – discussed the Vacation Rental Ordinance

a. City Council adopted a new ordinance that required Vacation Rental to obtain a permit/license.
b. The question is: Are Vacation Rentals illegal? (i.e., a commercial enterprise in a residential zone)
c. Negative impact on lodging and long-term housing for employees
d. Vacation rentals are not required to purchase TAUs (Tourist Accommodation Units)
e. Jim called the Lodging Members to action.

1. Would like representation from lodging to serve on Citizen’s Financial Advisory Committee

i. Members should contact Pradip if there are any questions with regard to changes in the contracts and other information.
