3. Topics:
Jeff Miner with the Lake Tahoe Water Trail Committee spoke about the Water Trail, which is a Kayaking Trail that lines the shore of the lake. The Water Trail is a great way to promote Eco-tourism. In the past the focus has been camping off of the water trail. Now the focus is shifting to include lodging. Properties can become a sponsor member for $50, and receive a listing on www.laketahoewatertrail.org.
Daphne Lange talked about this year Shakespeare Fest, which is about to start its 38th Season. The festival runs from July 9th – August 22nd. Group pricing is available for groups of 20 or more. Daphne gave some much great info. To get all of the details check out www.laketahoeshakespeare.com.
Ted Johanson talked about the Blu Nightclub Concierge Pary on 5/27/10.
Brian Des Rochers from the Ski Run Blvd BID talked a little bit about the business improvement district that was started 7 years ago to help out with the landscaping on Ski Run. They have 4 different committees and are working on events through out the summer. The first event is going to be a bike parade on June 5th. You can find them on FaceBook.
Chris Mines talked about the X-Dance Festival that will be coming to MontBleu June 10th – 12th. This is a great event for Tahoe because it appeals to local’s passions of Adventure Sports.
