Dear Lodging, Restaurant and Associate Members:

With the continued success of our South Tahoe Tourism Improvement District, our South Lake Tahoe tourism community is positioned to take advantage of future marketing opportunities in the tourism industry.  We have developed a district that generates approximately $1.5 million per year to be allocated exclusively to tourism promotion.  The tourism promotion includes print, internet and other advertising, call-to-action programs, special events, new visitor center facilities and other marketing efforts for our South Shore community.  Measurable guidelines have been developed to gauge the success of our marketing campaigns and website.

The lodging, restaurant and associate members of our Lodging Association have been instrumental in supporting and implementing this “new and improved” District.  In the coming year, we need to continue coordinating our tourism efforts and voice our tourism interests to our governmental representatives.  We encourage all tourism-related businesses to join our Association and work with us to make the South Shore’s largest industry, tourism, even more effective and beneficial to our community.

If you are a lodging property, we encourage you and ask you to re-join our Association.  Fees are nominal at $3.00 per room, with a minimum of $100 per year and a maximum of $500 per year.

If you are a restaurant, merchant or associate member, we also encourage you to participate in the activities of our Association and work with us to coordinate all areas of our tourism efforts.  We strongly encourage restaurant and merchant members to work alongside us, as we want to support your businesses and help you succeed on the South Shore.  More choices of quality restaurants and experiences for our guests are a benefit to all of us.  Fees for Associate Members are very reasonable, at a flat $100 per year per business.
