Dear Lodging, Restaurant and Associate Members:
With the economic challenges of today’s environment, our South Shore tourism community’s input and coordination is more important than ever. We continue to have a successful Tourism Improvement District (TID) that will generate over $1 million per year to be allocated exclusively to tourism promotion, advertising, special events, and visitor center operations. Our Lodging Association continues to communicate to our members the activities of the TID, the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority and the South Shore community at large.
In the coming year, we must continue coordinating our tourism efforts with our hotel, resort, restaurant and associate partners. We encourage all tourism-related businesses to join our Association and work with us to make the South Shore’s largest industry, tourism, even more effective and beneficial to our guests and our community.
If you are a lodging property, we encourage you and ask you to re-join our Association. Fees are nominal at $3.00 per room, with a minimum of $100 per year and a maximum of $500 per year.
If you are a restaurant, we also encourage you to participate in the activities of our Association and work with us to coordinate all areas of our tourism efforts. We strongly encourage restaurants to work alongside us, as we want to support your businesses and help you succeed on the South Shore. More choices of quality restaurants and experiences for our guests are a benefit to all of us. Fees for Restaurant Members are very reasonable, beginning at around $100 per year per business depending on business size.
If you are a merchant or associate member, we certainly ask that you also participate in activities of our Association. We will work to promote your businesses to our members and, if applicable, to our area’s visitors. Fees for Associate Members are also very reasonable, at a flat $100 per year per business.
